Yao Haijun, Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Urology at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, has over 20 years of clinical experience. He has long been engaged in urethral repair and penile reconstruction, with extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate diseases, minimally invasive treatment of urinary stones and tumors, urinary incontinence, and penile prosthesis surgery.

Biography

Yao Haijun, MD, Associate Chief Physician, Administrative Deputy Director of the Department of Urology at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, specializing in the subspecialty of Urogenital Reconstruction and Repair; he joined the Department of Urology at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital in 2003, undertook a short-term visiting study at the University of California, San Diego in 2013, and received the title of “Young Expert in Male Health Science Popularization in China” in 2015. He currently undertakes projects from the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, as well as medicine-engineering interdisciplinary projects at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, and has published more than 20 papers in domestic core journals and SCI-indexed journals. He has participated in the compilation of classic monographs including Wu Jieping Urology, Guo Yinglu Andrology, Reconstruction and Repair of the Lower Urinary Tract, Diagnosis and Treatment Manual for Congenital Diseases of the Male External Genitalia, and the 13th Five-Year Plan graduate standardized textbook Urology. He has also received the Youth Outstanding Paper Award at the Shanghai Urology Conference.
